I love it! Cute and affordable gift idea :) Do you think it would work on other ornaments? Such as a colored Christmas ball with a matte finish, or does the glass etching cream only work on glass?

Do you think that you could make your own stencils from contact paper? Your tree would look magnificent with etched dinosaurs.

With your husky voice AND the wiggle dance, I think this may be your sexiest video since the cupcake song. Haha

@kcaldwell07 I believe it’s only designed to work on glass, but I’m certain you could find some colored glass ornaments to use it on. The other possibility would be to etch a clear glass ornament, and then paint the inside yourself by pouring a little glass paint inside, and swishing it around until the inner part of the ball is covered. Let me know if you try it!

@EvilRachelable Hahaha awesome! I’m so glad my sexy voice is a hit! You could make your own stencils (there are tutorials online for that too!), but you’d want to do it with contact vinyl – regular paper won’t withstand the etching cream, since it works by degrading the surface of the glass. I wanted mine to be real simple, so I stuck with pre-made stencils. I’ll have to see about creating some dinosaurs…

To really personalize the ornament you can always put smalle pinecones or fake flowers and such inside them. I remember seeing that in a Home and Garden mag a while ago lol. :D

Hey, that’s a really nice idea! Can I also do that with coloured glass or will that not work?
