Money is tight and I dont want to overspend for Christmas

I bought all of my husband´s family gifts already (not more than for each of the 15 members), I bought my mom a gift, my only nephew (direct fam.) 0, I only have to buy my sisters and the hardest my daughter! I will not get my husband anything, maybe just a card (mutual agreement, low $). I dont want to spend more than 0 on her (she is almost 5), I was thinking lots of coloring books, crayons, markers, play doh, glue, scissors as she is very artsy, maybe an apron with her name, an easel, a guitar and a doll. Any more ideas? She is really bad with toys (she only plays with them once and then she dumps them, but she loves art, anything creative. Ideas please!!!

    Bath paints.
    Bath crayons.
Bath water toys. (Ones where you can stick things to the wall)
Crayola has a NUMEROUS amount of stuff like glow int he dark pens,
A paintbrush that picks up "color" and draws on special paper but will not make a mess on the carpet or on the walls, its meant only for the paper.
A musical thing she can walk on and it will make noise.

There’s always those little kits they sell at the stores where it gives you the materials to make things. Like soap for example or flowers and things like that. I use to love those when i was little

all those sound great! as a kid, i loved playing school around that age. I believe my older sister got her daughter a chalkboard on one side and a white board on the other side at toy’s r us for low $. i would love it!

Your ideas are great thus far…something that’s always a big hit with my sister is making things that would normally be bought herself…..get your daughter a gift certificate to build a bear ( if you have one locally, you can take her there and she can make her own bear) or a certificate to a local pottery shop where you make pottery or paint things. These places aren’t too expensive, they will nurture her creativity and give you and her quality time!

I feel for you because I am in the same situation of having to have a gift budget and struggling to make sure that everyone gets something. However, I think that you don’t need to spend a lot of money on your daughter for her to be happy.

Maybe put together a "dress up" box with a tiara, slippers, beads, etc.
Sticker books or coloring books are always good, especially if the stickers are scratch and sniff.
wee sing, or childrens music sing along CD.
Filo dough variety pack. It’s like play doh but you can bake it in the oven into a hard form.

Art kits are good, and everything you’ve said sounds good to me. Maybe some random art things she can use, like googly eyes or pom-poms or feathers?
